Candidasa

This tiny island is only about 300 meters long and not very wide with deep waters on all sides. Off the southwestern tip of Tepekong is a well known dive site called The Canyon. Tepekong Canyon starts at around 25 meters deep and is lined with some large black boulders of basalt carpeted with soft and hard corals. Drifting through the canyon in clear visibility is an awesome experience, sharks and other big pelagic are often spotted. Huge schools of sweet lips, fusiliers, trevally and snapper swirl around the canyon walls in the nutrient rich waters. East Tepekong offers a wall down to around 40 meters and a coral reef at 24 meters again with excellent marine life. Also you find a cave with juvenile white tip sharks on the north east side. Also on the North side you can dive on a reef with two hill tops on 12 and 14 meter under water

Diving in Biaha is divided up between the slightly more protected south west end, almost inside the crescent, and the more turbulent conditions on the north side. Just about the entire island is surrounded by a rich and dense coral reef, part rugged, black wall and part slope. On the inside crescent is a small cave where sleeping White-tip reef sharks are often spotted. Other marine life commonly seen here include leaf scorpion-fish, cuttlefish, angler fish and a variety of nudibranches that will satisfy any enthusiast. It is really more the landscape and the wild beauty of the site that makes it so spectacular for divers and keeps them coming back to this site every year.
